Dropbox Integration in Team Collaborations

With Team Collaborations Dropbox Integration, you can now share files that matters the most from your Dropbox account into Team Collaborations documents area and vice versa to simplify your work and ramp up your productivity.

Integrate Dropbox account

  1. In Team Collaborations, select the required project, click the Documents tab. 
  2. Click Dropbox and then click Configure your Dropbox sync.
  3. In Configure Dropbox Account tab, click Add New Dropbox Account to create your dropbox account.
  4. If you have configured more than one dropbox account, click Add New Sync, and select the dropbox account to integrate into Team Collaborations.

  5. In Select Folders tab, in Dropbox Folder select the dropbox folder and then in Docs Folder choose the folder to associate the dropbox account.
  6. Click Sync Folders.
  7. In Start Sync, click Start Sync to initiate the synchronisation.

The sync process supported by Client management system are  Sync Once and Sync Continuously

Sync Once - Files are synced from your Dropbox into Team Collaborations and vice versa only once.

Sync Continuous- Files are synced from your Dropbox into Team Collaborations and vice versa as and when files are uploaded or updated in Team Collaborations and Dropbox.

 

The sync status is displayed in Dropbox Configuration view along with 4 different status buttons

      1. Sync Once - Single headed arrow in Green indicates that you've set Sync Once for file updates.
      2. Sync Continuous - Double headed arrow in Green indicates that you've set Sync Continuously for file updates.
      3. Stop Sync - Blue color button when clicked stops the sync operation for this project.
      4. Delete Sync - Red color button when clicked deletes sync operation for this configuration.

Details about folders and file upload

      1. Select any number of sub folders from your Dropbox and map it to any particular folder in Team Collaborations.
      2. Only one-to-one mapping of folders is supported in Client management system. But you can map another from same Dropbox account.
      3. Supports mapping of folders between two different languages in Client management system.
      4. Latest updates gets synced for every 1 minute time interval between Team Collaborations and Dropbox and vice versa.
      5. File names are unique in Dropbox, so every update of the same file is maintained as next version in Dropbox.
      6. File names are not unique in Team Collaborations, so every version of Dropbox file is added as new file in Client management system.
      7. Max file limit per upload is 125MB in Team Collaborations.
      8. Max file transfer limit is 125MB for instant upload and 300MB for scheduled upload i,e for Sync Once / Continuously.
