How to import my leads into CRM account?

To import your leads into CRM account, do the following:

  1. Click the Leads tab.
  2. In the Leads Home page, click Import My Leads.
  1. In the Import Wizard page do the following:
    1. Click Browse to locate the required file that is to be imported.
    2. Select a Workflow Task (if required). 
    3. Select an option from the list to Assign all imported Leads to this Lead Source.
    4. Select the check box to Enable Manual Lead approval. 
      This demands each data to be manually approved by the administrator before assigning to specific users.
    5. Click any of the options - skip , overwrite, clone. (Refer notes below).
    6. Select the Character Encoding form the list. 
    7. Click Next to continue.
  2. In the Map Fields section, do the following:
    1. Associate the fields in CSV/XLS file column header with the corresponding [Module] fields in  CRM 
      (Mandatory fields should be properly mapped)
    2. Click Next to continue.
  3. In the Confirm Mapping section, verify whether all fields are mapped correctly.
  4. Click Import and your records are imported in  CRM. 
  5. Click Go to [Module] List.

Note: 

      Once Import process begins, you cannot cancel it. 

      Manual approval option is available only while importing leads.

      While importing records to CRM, only the option to clone records is available in Free and Professional Editions. 

      The option to skip and overwrite records is available only in the Enterprise edition.

      For instance, there are two records namely, A and B in you CRM account. You want to import records B and C.
