How to make certain fields mandatory or non mandatory in CRM?
You can make certain fields mandatory or non mandatory in CRM by following the steps given below:
- Click Setup > Customization > Layouts.
- In the Edit Page Layout page, select the desired Module.
The fields corresponding to the module are displayed. - Move the mouse pointer over the field that you want to make mandatory.
- Select the check box for the field to make it mandatory, or clear the check box to make it non-mandatory.mandatory
- Click Save.
Note:
- You will not be able to mark some defined standard fields as non-mandatory.
For example: Last Name for Leads and Contacts; Potential Name, Closing Date and Stage for Potentials.
